Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Marseille vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Marseille vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

Nice vs. Lyon (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Fifth place takes on sixth place in Ligue 1 action on Sunday afternoon when Nice welcome Lyon to the Allianz Riviera, with the two sides separated only by goal difference.

The hosts suffered a disappointing loss in the last game, whilst their visitors come into the match on the back of two wins in the space of a week.

We say: Nice 2-1 Lyon

This should be a tight game and the result could come down to how Nice respond to their recent defeat. Both sides have goals in them but we are backing a more-rested home side to edge the game and secure a narrow victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Lens vs. Metz (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Lens and Metz face off in the 11th match of this developing Ligue 1 season at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are flying high in second place, whilst their upcoming opponents currently find themselves down in the relegation playoff spot with just six points.

We say: Lens 2-0 Metz

They may have lost last time out but Lens are the better side, with home advantage and a fitter squad. This should be a comfortable home victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Lorient vs. Bordeaux (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Lorient had their six-game unbeaten streak broken at the weekend after being defeated by Marseille and they shall now be looking to get back on track when they host Bordeaux.

The visitors have struggled so far this season, winning just one game, and they find themselves sitting two points above the relegation zone.

We say: Lorient 2-2 Bordeaux

Lorient are further up the league table and therefore head into this game as the favourites; however, this will not be a simple fixture as Bordeaux have been picking up consistent results as of late.

Because of that, this game could result in a draw between the teams as each club looks to get another point on the board in a fixture that is bound to produce goals.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Reims vs. Troyes (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two of the teams near the foot of Ligue 1 will compete on Sunday when Reims host Troyes at the Stade Auguste Delaune with each club looking to secure their third victory of the season.

Both find themselves just above the relegation zone at the moment and are in a real need to get points on the board to push away from that.

We say: Reims 1-1 Troyes

Both teams have been inconsistent so far this season, meaning it is hard to predict exactly which version of each squad is going to turn up on the day.

However, this is an important fixture for each of them, and that could provide some intensity and caution, which might result in a draw taking place.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Rennes vs. Strasbourg (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Ligue 1's seventh- and eighth-placed sides lock horns on Sunday afternoon, when Rennes take on Strasbourg at Roazhon Park.

The hosts are now on an impressive winning streak, whilst their upcoming opponents have had a more mixed time of late but did produce an impressive win in their most recent outing.

We say: Rennes 1-1 Strasbourg

This should be a tight affair between two sides in good form. Both managers favour an attacking style of football but neither are too sloppy in defence and they may cancel each other out to some extent, so we are backing an entertaining 1-1 draw on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Monaco vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Monaco and Montpellier HSC go head to head at the Stade Louis II on Sunday afternoon in what is surprisingly a mid-table battle as things stand in Ligue 1.

The hosts have produced a disappointing start to the season and sit 10th in the table, whilst their visitors are 13th after a surprise victory last time out.

We say: Monaco 1-1 Montpellier HSC

Despite rotating on Thursday, Kovac's absences mean Monaco will come into this match far less rested than their opponents, who will also be high on confidence after their win over Lens. The hosts have struggled to keep clean sheets this campaign, but Montpellier have not been great on the road and are without a win on their travels so far this season. All things considered, we are backing a draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Marseille vs. PSG (Sunday, 7.45pm)

The Orange Velodrome plays host to Le Classique on Sunday evening, as Jorge Sampaoli's free-scoring Marseille lock horns with league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Les Olympiens eased to a 4-1 win over Lorient during their most recent domestic battle, while PSG had to rely on late drama to march to victory against Angers.

We say: Marseille 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain

Marseille have hardly demonstrated a clinical edge in Europe this term, but Sampaoli's side are never guilty of a lack of ruthlessness in Ligue 1, especially in front of their impassioned fanbase.

However, the hosts have had two days fewer to recover for Le Classique, and PSG's record against Les Olympiens certainly speaks for itself, so we expect Pochettino's side to pull through and shade a close contest in the pick of the fixtures this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
