Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'Paris Saint-Germain exit never an option'

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists that his commitment to the club never wavered during the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he is happy in the French capital and had no desire to leave Ligue 1 this summer.

Ibrahimovic was linked with a return to Juventus and a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid at various points during the summer, but opted to commit his future to PSG.

The Swedish forward is adamant that the arrival of Edinson Cavani does not affect his position at PSG, a club that he never gave serious consideration to quitting.

He told reporters: "I always knew that I would not leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The club takes care of me very well.

"Of course, you never know what will happen, but I never really considering leaving PSG."

The 31-year-old, who is under contract at PSG until 2015, got off the mark for the campaign in last weekend's 2-0 win over Guingamp.
