Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has suggested that he will not rush Charlie Austin back to first-team action.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined since the end of last month with a hamstring injury sustained against Fulham.
Austin, who scored seven goals in nine appearances prior to being ruled out, is in contention to feature against fellow West London rivals Brentford on Friday night.
However, Ramsey is still unsure over his star striker's fitness, telling reporters: "We'll check on Charlie Austin today. He wants to be back in the team but you have to get it right after an injury."
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is expected to be given the nod up top against the Bees after finding the net three times in Austin's absence.
