Arsenal's Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 'out injured for three weeks'

Arsenal pair Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott are expected to be out of action for three weeks after suffering injuries against Sheffield Wednesday.

Arsenal duo Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are reportedly expected to miss three weeks of action with injuries.

The pair suffered the blows in the first half of the Gunners' 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain damaged his hamstring just five minutes into the game, while Walcott, who replaced the England international, was brought off in the 19th minute with a calf injury.

According to The Mirror, while the club are yet to learn the full extent of the injuries, the duo are expected to miss Arsenal's games against Swansea City, Bayern Munich and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The pair are also likely to be ruled out of next month's England friendlies against Spain and France.
