Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin confident of return to form

Charlie Austin insists that he will start scoring goals on a regular basis again for Queens Park Rangers.

Charlie Austin has insisted that he will start scoring goals on a regular basis again for Queens Park Rangers.

The 24-year-old summer signing from Burnley has netted 15 goals for QPR this season, but is yet to find the net in three appearances since returning from a two-month injury.

Austin was back in the starting lineup for the first time since January on Saturday when QPR defeated Nottingham Forest.

"My confidence will only come in games. Training is OK but to start gives you that buzz along with winning games," he told the club website.

"Goals will come for me but the main thing is we won the game and I've got another 75 minutes under my belt. We now need to start a run and get some momentum going into the playoffs."

With four games of the season left, QPR still have a slim chance of being promoted automatically, but it looks like they will be vying with Derby County for third place.
