The Football Association have rejected Queens Park Rangers' appeal against the sending off of Shaun Derry in their 2-0 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.
Derry was dismissed for a challenge on United winger Ashley Young in the penalty area, with replays suggesting that the contact was minimal.
R's boss Mark Hushes confirmed after the encounter that the club were preparing an appeal, but it has been dismissed by the FA.
QPR face Swansea City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
