Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill has urged the club to appoint manager Chris Ramsey on a permanent basis.
Ramsey took charge of the side in February, but he was unable to stop them from being relegated to the Championship.
With his contract only lasting until the end of the season, Hill believes that Ramsey is the right man to help the R's get back to the Premier League.
"Obviously he is a good coach who likes his youngsters," Hill is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "It is about getting fresh players in and getting the right culture into the dressing room.
"He has come into a difficult situation – with the position we were in and so many of the players not being his. I feel sorry for him because he has given everything on the training ground. He has tried to raise us and give us a steady platform."
QPR continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they welcome Newcastle United to Loftus Road.
