Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill has revealed that Steve McClaren has already made a "big impression" at the club as first-team coach.

The former England manager was recently appointed at Loftus Road to help the R's gain promotion back to the Premier League.

"He's very good on the coaching field, he brings fresh ideas and even though he's only been here a few weeks he has made a big impression on the training ground," Hill told the club's official website.

"He has a good track record. He has been in Germany, Holland and England but right now he seems to be enjoying himself here, being back on the training field and working with the players every day."

QPR play their final pre-season friendly on Friday when they make the trip to Southend United.
