Report: Nigel Pearson wanted by Queens Park Rangers, Fulham

Queens Park Rangers and Fulham are reportedly prepared to fight it out for former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson.

Championship duo Queens Park Rangers and Fulham are reportedly battling for Nigel Pearson's signature.

QPR and Fulham are hunting for new managers after parting company with Chris Ramsey and Kit Symons respectively.

Symons was sacked on Sunday afternoon following the Cottagers' 5-2 defeat to Birmingham City, while Ramsey was dismissed five days ago.

According to The Mirror, Pearson is a strong contender for the Fulham role, but QPR interim boss Neil Warnock has told bosses that the 52-year-old, who kept Leicester City in the Premier League last season, would be perfect at Loftus Road.

The report adds that Paul Lambert and Alex McLeish are open to taking on the Fulham job, while Maccabi Tel Aviv manager Slavisa Jovanovic is also thought to be on the Cottagers' wanted list.

However, it is believed that the London club want to avoid having to pay compensation so are likely to hire a manager who is out of work.

Pearson was sacked by Leicester in June.
