Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock has told Shaun Wright-Phillips to forget an England recall for now.
The 29-year-old winger, who moved to Loftus Road from Manchester City during the final day of the transfer window, impressed in Monday's 0-0 draw against Newcastle United.
Warnock, however, says that Wright-Phillips should only think about a return to the national side once manager Fabio Capello leaves after Euro 2012.
"I think Shaun's got to play football," Warnock told Sky Sports News. "I think Shaun should just concentrate on QPR this year and wait until the manager's gone for England and start afresh.
"I think everybody will be given a clean bill of health when Capello leaves.
"Before then he needs to maintain his form and fitness. It's great to say he had a great game the other night, but he's got to do that on a regular basis."
The former Chelsea player last appeared for England in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro nearly a year ago.
