Queens Park Rangers sink Bolton Wanderers in seven-goal thriller

Queens Park Rangers beat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 at Loftus Road thanks to a late winner from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Queens Park Rangers recovered from going two goals down to beat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 thanks to Jay Emmanuel-Thomas's dramatic winner deep into second-half injury time.

Gary Madine struck to give Neil Lennon's side an early lead when he turned home Liam Feeney's cross, and the Trotters were two ahead just five minutes later.

This time it was Feeney who was perfectly placed to bundle the ball home after Rob Green had failed to deal with Darren Pratley's long-range strike.

Despite the visitors' early dominance, the two-goal advantage lasted just two minutes as Emmanuel-Thomas pulled one back for Chris Ramsey's side when he nodded Tjaronn Chery's cross into the back of the net.

Nedum Onuoha then came within inches of heading his side level, before Leroy Fer completed a remarkable first-half comeback when he stabbed home from close range just before the break.

After a quiet start to the second half where both sides seemed to pay the price for a frantic opening 45 minutes, the home side stole the lead when Chery collected Paul Konchesky's pass and curled home from the edge of the area.

Konchesky was then called into action at the other end when his crucial block denied Neil Danns, before Green denied Dean Moxey as Bolton searched for a leveller.

Just as it seemed Ramsey's team would hold on for all three points, substitute Wellington Silva struck to seemingly salvage a dramatic draw for Bolton.

However, there was a final twist in the game as Emmanuel-Thomas popped up in the 94th minute to win the match for Queens Park Rangers.
