Argentine midfielder Alejandro Faurlin insists that Adel Taarabt is happy at Queens Park Rangers and will not leave the club in January.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has insisted that he expects teammate Adel Taarabt to stay with the club.

Taarabt has been consistently linked with a move away from Loftus Road for the past two years, with rumours of interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Faurlin has admitted that losing Taarabt in January would be a hammer blow to the Hoops' hopes of surviving in the Premier League.

He told the Fulham Chronicle: "Adel is a very important player for us.

"It would be a huge blow for us if he leaves, but I don't think he will."

Mark Hughes's side continue to search for their first win of the season this weekend in a clash with relegation rivals Southampton.
