Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni has been banned for two matches after being sent off during his team's recent friendly defeat to Derby County.

The 27-year-old was shown a straight red card on Saturday for trying to headbutt Derby's Chris Martin at the iPro Stadium.

Mohsni will now miss Tuesday's Challenge Cup clash with Hibernian and Sunday's Scottish Championship opener against Hearts.

Gers boss Ally McCoist revealed after his side's defeat to Derby that he had spoken to Mohsni about the incident.
