Rangers have announced that forward Kyle Lafferty has been suspended from the club for two weeks after failing to make himself available to play at the weekend.
The 24-year-old, who has recently been suffering from a hernia problem, refused to report for duty for the Gers' 3-0 win over Hearts on Saturday, despite being fit enough for inclusion.
The decision comes after the former SPL champions were served a year-long transfer embargo by the Scottish Football Association for being deemed guilty of bringing football into disrepute.
The administrators dealing with financial woes of the stricken club have yet to announce a preferred bidder for the Glasgow-based outfit.
