Rangers have announced that goalkeeper Allan McGregor has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The 40-year-old was due to see his previous deal expire at the end of this month and had been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, but the Scotsman has decided to pen a new short-term deal to remain at Ibrox.
Speaking to the club's official website on extending his contract, McGregor said: "I'm obviously delighted. At the end of last season, there were a lot of games and a lot of concentration on the games.
"I then had a couple of weeks' holiday and really thought about it and spoke to a lot of people about it, and everybody said to play as long as you can. After the break, that's what I was thinking myself, so here we are."

Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst added: "Allan brings us invaluable experience and leadership both on and off the pitch, and I am really pleased he has chosen to stay with us for another year.
"I have been really impressed with the positive influence he has on our players, and also the dedication he has shown to still be a valuable asset for us in a playing-sense at the age of 40.
"This season we have a really strong goalkeeping squad at the club, and I predict a really healthy competition for places."
McGregor has spent 15 years with Rangers across two spells with the club, making a total of 469 appearances across all competitions, including 48 last season.
The former Scotland international is the third player over the age of 30 to have recently extended their contract at Ibrox, after 37-year-old Steven Davis and 33-year-old Scott Arfield penned new deals last month.
