Reading owner Anton Zingarevich reveals that the club's main ambition for next season is to top the Championship table.

Reading owner Anton Zingarevich has revealed that the club's main ambition for next season is to win the Championship.

The Royals will begin life in the second tier of English football at home to Ipswich Town on August 3.

"Of course, the ambition and the objective is to win the league," Zingarevich told Reading 107FM.

"That's the only thing that we, as a football club, want to achieve. We've had board meetings where we've discussed this."

Zingarevich took over at Reading in the summer of 2012.
