A number of black players within the Premier League and the Football League are reportedly pondering whether to refuse to wear 'Kick It Out' T-shirts ahead of this weekend's fixtures.

A host of black footballers within the Premier League and the Football League are reportedly considering whether to protest against the 'Kick It Out' campaign.

Reading striker Jason Roberts revealed today that he does not intend to wear the T-shirt highlighting the campaign that aims to stamp out racism within the game.

The 34-year-old's reasoning comes from two separate high-profile racism cases involving Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Chelsea captain John Terry, and the forward believes that 'Kick It Out' have not done enough to eradicate prejudice.

It is believed that a number of players within the Reading squad and the Aston Villa team are considering whether to refuse to wear the T-shirts to mark the campaign's annual week of awareness, according to Sky Sports News.

The news comes following midweek's England Under-21 clash against Serbia, where full-back Danny Rose was allegedly racially abused by Serbian supporters.
