Jordan Obita extends Reading stay until 2018

Reading defender Jordan Obita pens a contract extension with the Championship club until 2018.

Reading defender Jordan Obita has signed a new contract with the Championship club until 2018.

The 21-year-old academy product, who made his first-team debut for the Royals back in 2010, played 51 times in all competitions for Reading last season.

"I'm delighted that Jordan has committed to Reading Football Club by signing his new deal," manager Steve Clarke told the team's official website.

"He is a young player with a great future ahead and the fact that he trusts us here at Reading to help him develop and take his game to the next level is good news for all concerned."

Obita has represented England at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels.
