Real Madrid Castilla held to home draw by Tenerife

A 2-2 draw against Tenerife ensures that Real Madrid Castilla remain in a relegation battle in the Spanish Segunda Division.

Real Madrid Castilla have drawn 2-2 with Tenerife in the Spanish Segunda Division.

Aridane gave the visiting side an early lead with just three minutes on the clock, before Castilla hit back twice through Sergio Aguza and Raul de Tomas in 13 second-half minutes.

It looked as though Manolo Diaz's side were going to hold out for three points after coming from behind, but Ayoze Diaz struck with less than 10 minutes remaining to ensure that Tenerife left with a share of the spoils.

The draw leaves Castilla just two points above the drop zone, while Tenerife are level on points with sixth-place Real Zaragoza in the chase for a playoff spot.
