Real Madrid Castilla ease past Cordoba

Real Madrid Castilla get the better of Cordoba 3-1 at home in the Spanish Segunda Division.

Real Madrid Castilla have moved off the foot of the Segunda Division table with a 3-1 home win against Cordoba.

The hosts broke the deadlock three minutes before the break when Raul de Tomas found the target.

Then on 64 minutes Lucas made it 2-0 to Castilla at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano and Jorge Franco added a third with 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

Xisco scored a late goal for Cordoba, but it proved to be too little too late for them.

The result means that Castilla are now second from bottom in the Spanish second tier but still remain in the relegation zone.
