Toni Kroos confident of progression

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos believes that his team have the ability to overcome Juventus in the Champions League semi-finals.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has insisted that his side have what it takes to make another Champions League final.

Los Blancos, who are the holders of the European Cup, will face Juventus in the semi-finals of the Champions League, with the first leg due to take place on Tuesday evening.

Kroos has branded the Italian champions "a very strong side", but the German has full confidence in his team.

"We're well prepared. We have a coach who knows Juventus very well and I think he's trained us well. They're very strong defensively and quick in transitions, but we'll make adjustments and I think that with our strengths, we can reach the final," Kroos has been quoted as saying by Marca.

"We've clearly made very good progress and we want to take it step by step. It's an achievement to be in the semi-finals, but we'll do everything possible to make it to the final.

"We're conscious that no team have ever won this competition twice on the bounce. That's our big goal, but first we have to knock out a very strong side in Juventus."

The second semi-final will pit Barcelona against Bayern Munich.
