Alvaro Morata "very happy" to make Champions League final

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata says that his team want to "make history" after reaching the final of the Champions League.

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has revealed his delight after helping his team reach the 2015 Champions League final.

Morata scored in both legs of Juve's semi-final against Real Madrid, including the equaliser in their 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

The draw took Juve into the final 3-2 on aggregate, and Morata has once again paid his respects to his former club.

"We have fought so hard to get here, but this does not end here. We want to win the final and make history, but we're very happy," Morata, who left Real Madrid for Juventus last summer, told UEFA.com.

"I didn't celebrate the goal, I was never going to. It was a bittersweet and strange sensation for me. These two games have been difficult for me. I want to thank the Madrid fans, I wish I had scored against another team.

"My former teammates want us to win and they wished me the best. Just like in Turin, it was hard for me at times tonight but I had to focus my head quickly. That's what football is like."

Juventus will meet Barcelona in the final of the Champions League on June 6.
