Andrea Pirlo has insisted that "everything is possible in football" as former club Juventus attempt to produce one of the great Champions League comebacks.
The Italian giants trail Real Madrid 3-0 at the midway point of their Champions League quarter-final tie, having collapsed in last week's first leg on home soil.
Juve now face the daunting task of travelling to the home of the European champions needing to chase the game, but Pirlo has said that there is nothing to fear in one of the world's most famous venues.
"Everything's possible in football. It will be a difficult game but they have to try," he is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo. "It's important to have the right mindset and be able to go there and try to overturn the previous outcome. It's hard, of course, but they have to try.
"There are a lot of thoughts going on, you always hope you can play a good game and overturn the previous outcome. Dreams are always good the day before, you can just hope they become a reality later.
"No, it's not scary. They have to be proud to be able to play in such an important stadium. When you play these kinds of games you don't have to be scared, you only have to be able to enjoy playing football."
Pirlo retired from playing last year and has recently been tipped to take on a coaching position with the Italian national side.
