Dani Carvajal: 'Injury not too serious'

Spain defender Dani Carvajal insists that his hamstring injury is not "too serious".

Spain defender Dani Carvajal has said that his hamstring injury is not "too serious".

The Real Madrid right-back has been ruled out of his country's Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia this evening after picking up the problem in training on Sunday.

A scan revealed inflammation to his left hamstring, but he is hopeful of making Real Madrid's league clash with Atletico Madrid this weekend.

"I don't think it's too serious," AS has quoted the Spaniard as saying this morning.

"The most important thing is that I make a complete recovery; if I can be ready for Saturday's game then even better."

The MRI scan took place this morning.
