Saturday's La Liga predictions including Barcelona vs. Real Betis

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Barcelona vs. Real Betis.

Girona vs. Alaves (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Alaves' battle to stay out of the La Liga relegation zone will continue on Saturday afternoon when they head to Girona.

The visitors are currently 17th in the La Liga table, level on points with 18th-placed Leganes, while Girona occupy 13th, seven points ahead of their opponents in this weekend's contest at Estadi Montilivi.

We say: Girona 1-1 Alaves

This is a difficult match to call, with Alaves avoiding defeat in seven of their 15 away games in La Liga this term; Girona have home advantage, but we are expecting the Catalan side to be held to a low-scoring draw.

Real Madrid vs. Valencia (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Real Madrid will be aiming to post a fourth La Liga win in a row when they welcome Valencia to Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are second in the La Liga table, three points behind the leaders Barcelona, while Valencia occupy 15th, four points outside of the relegation zone, with Los Che unbeaten in their last four matches.

We say: Real Madrid 2-1 Valencia

Valencia are in strong form, but it is difficult to ignore their problems on the road when picking a result here; Real Madrid have not been at their best of late, but we are expecting the home side to navigate their way to a vital three points on Saturday afternoon.

Mallorca vs. Celta Vigo (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Celta Vigo will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten run in La Liga to eight matches when they continue their campaign with a clash against Mallorca at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix on Saturday evening.

The away side are currently eighth in the La Liga table, boasting 40 points from 29 matches, while Mallorca are ninth on the same number of points, with the two sides looking to chase down Real Betis in sixth.

We say: Mallorca 0-0 Celta Vigo

Mallorca are again expected to be light in the final third of the field, while Celta's struggles on the road make them difficult to back; we are expecting it to be a tight game on Saturday, with the points potentially being shared in a goalless draw.

Barcelona vs. Betis (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys will play host to an intriguing La Liga contest on Saturday evening, with division leaders Barcelona welcoming a Real Betis side that have won each of their last six league fixtures.

Barcelona are top of the La Liga table, three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, while Real Betis are sixth, only six points behind fourth-placed Athletic Bilbao in the race for the Champions League positions.

We say: Barcelona 2-1 Real Betis

Real Betis have been outstanding of late, and it would certainly not be a surprise to see Pellegrini's team claim a positive result this weekend; Barcelona are absolutely flying, though, and we are therefore expecting the division leaders to navigate their way to a crucial three points in front of their own supporters.
