Gareth Bale has admitted that it was "a dream" to win the European Super Cup in his hometown of Cardiff on Tuesday evening.
The Real Madrid attacker assisted Cristiano Ronaldo for the first of his two goals against Sevilla and paid tribute to the Ballon d'Or holder following the tie.
"[Cristiano] game by game shows what he is capable of. The team got their reward for working as hard as anyone in the world," Bale told UEFA's official website.
"Being here is a dream come true. Everyone comes to Real Madrid to win trophies, so we'll try to win all that are at stake this season."
Bale paraded around the stadium with a Wales flag following the match.
