Real Madrid star Gareth Bale suffering from muscle fatigue

Real Madrid confirm that Gareth Bale is suffering from muscle fatigue after he sustained a thigh problem before his planned home debut on Sunday.

Real Madrid have announced that world-record summer signing Gareth Bale is suffering from muscle fatigue in his thigh.

The Wales international winger, who was due to make his home debut in last night's 4-1 win over Getafe in La Liga, was pulled out of the squad minutes before the match after picking up the injury during the warm-up.

Following a scan today, Madrid have released a statement on their official website saying: "After the tests carried out today on Gareth Bale at the Sanitas La Moraleja hospital, fatigue in the left thigh muscle was found. It will be treated."

The Spanish giants have not confirmed how long Bale is expected to be on the sidelines for.
