Gareth Bale trains on Sunday

Gareth Bale completes a training session for Real Madrid on Sunday.

Gareth Bale has handed Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti a huge boost by completing a training session alongside his teammates on Sunday.

The 25-year-old has missed his side's last three matches with a hip problem and had also been a doubt for this week's Champions League clash against Liverpool.

Bale took part in a recovery session on Sunday, however, following Los Blancos' 4-0 win over Granada on Saturday afternoon.

It is understood that the Welshman suffered no adverse effects from the session and therefore will be included in the squad for the European fixture on Tuesday.
