Spain coach Vicente del Bosque believes that Carlo Ancelotti is the perfect fit for Real Madrid.

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has insisted that Carlo Ancelotti is the perfect man to take charge at Real Madrid.

The Italian recently arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Paris Saint-Germain to succeed Jose Mourinho.

"Ancelotti has achieved great success, he understands European football well and perfectly fits the profile a Real Madrid coach needs," Sky Sports News quotes Del Bosque as saying.

"He is an excellent coach, he will have a great squad available to him and we hope that it'll be a great season for Spanish football."

Del Bosque had three spells managing Madrid before starting his successful reign as Spain coach in 2008.
