Angel Di Maria has vowed that Real Madrid will fight until the end of the season to bring silverware back to the Bernabeu and bring happiness to the club's fans.
Jose Mourinho's side were able to win the Spanish Cup last season, but lost out to Barcelona in both the Spanish and Champions League. However, Di Maria insists that Madrid are now better prepared to take on their rivals as a team than during the previous campaign.
"There is a long way to go but we will be going for it right up until the end to, hopefully, bring happiness not just to ourselves and families, but to all Madrid fans everywhere," he told the club's official website.
"The team is much better than it was this time last year and we have a very good side in every way. We also did last season but I think we have grown as a team now. We have been together for a year and the new players who have joined us have really adapted quickly and well."
Real Madrid, who are sat one point behind joint league leaders Levante and Barcelona, travel to Estadio La Rosaleda this evening to take on sixth-place Malaga.
