Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane insists that he has no concerns over the morale of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema after spells out of the starting lineup.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted that he has no concerns over Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema after their recent periods out of the team.

Both players have only been used on a rotational basis by Zidane, and reports have linked the duo with an exit from the Bernabeu during the summer transfer window.

Zidane says that he remains happy with the efforts of the pair, but suggests that he considers other players to be producing better performances for the Spanish giants.

At a press conference, the 45-year-old told reporters: "I do not see [Bale and Benzema] as feeling down, they are training well. Both would like to be scoring more goals, but they are working well. It always happens in a team that other players are in better form, which is what we are seeing.

"There are very good players at this club, and I must always value that too. Benzema knows he has to score goals, as well as all the good work he does linking the play and assisting his teammates."

Bale has 11 goals from 21 La Liga appearances this season, while Benzema has just five strikes from 26 outings.
