Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Alaves.

Real Madrid's squad is in strong shape heading into Saturday's La Liga clash against Alaves, with Mariano Diaz the team's only potential absentee.

Diaz, who has only played five times this season, has recently been out with a pelvic injury, and he was not in the squad for the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to freshen his side following the 1-0 loss in Paris, with Federico Valverde potentially coming in for Luka Modric in the middle of the park.

There could also be a change in the final third of the field, with Rodrygo pushing to replace Marco Asensio on the right of the front three.

Karim Benzema was passed fit for the clash with PSG after struggling with a hamstring injury, and despite being substituted late on in France, the centre-forward is fit for this match and should start.

Ferland Mendy has also recently been absent with a hamstring issue, but the defender came through the match against PSG and should also retain his spot in the XI here.

Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale, who both came off the bench in the Champions League during the week, will also hope to be involved in some capacity on Saturday night.
