Rafael Benitez is reportedly on the brink of being sacked as Real Madrid boss.
The Spaniard only took charge of the Spanish giants at the start of the season, but his position has been called into question ever since the 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona in November.
It appeared that the pressure would be eased when Los Blancos took a 2-1 lead in Sunday's La Liga clash against Valencia, but the points were ultimately shared in a 2-2 draw.
It is understood that Benitez's refusal to use either James Rodriguez or Isco during the match has caused more tension and according to various reports in Spain, the Real Madrid board will hold a meeting this afternoon to discuss his future.
Real Madrid currently sit third in La Liga, four points off the leaders Atletico Madrid, while they are due to face Roma in the knockout stage of the Champions League next month.
However, there will be no Copa del Rey title this season following their explosion for fielding an ineligible player against Cadiz in the last round.
