Manchester City's chief executive Ferran Soriano is reportedly in Spain for talks over Real Madrid's unsettled attacker Isco.
Spanish website Fichajes claims that Soriano has met with Madrid's general manager Angel Sanchez to speed along a January deal for the 23-year-old, who has scored just once in the league this season.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini is apparently keen to be reunited with Isco after the pair worked together at Malaga four years ago, having previously failed to woo him when he took over at the club in 2013.
Madrid want a fee of £29.5m from the Premier League title-chasers in order to seal the deal next month.
Isco has found the net 13 times in 79 league appearances for the La Liga side since 2013.
