Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale would be prepared to move to the Chinese Super League for a contract in excess of £1m a week, according to a report.

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale would reportedly be prepared to move to the Chinese Super League this summer providing that he is offered a contract in excess of £1m a week.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane revealed at the weekend that the Wales international, who is said to collect in the region of £600,000 a week at the Bernabeu, was close to leaving the club.

Beijing Guoan are allegedly prepared to offer the 30-year-old a £1m-a-week contract in order to convince him to move to the club before the Chinese transfer window closes at the end of this month.

According to The Telegraph, the former Southampton youngster is open to a move to China, but he wants a bigger contract than the one said to be on the table.

Jiangsu Suning are believed to have joined Beijing Guoan in the race for the attacker, who is reportedly not being considered by Manchester United despite a host of speculation.

The Welshman has scored 102 goals in 231 appearances since joining Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, winning four Champions Leagues alongside a host of other trophies during his time at the Bernabeu.
