Barcelona have reportedly made a move for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe.
The 23-year-old's contract in Paris is due to expire at the end of June, and he is widely expected to leave the French giants in search of pastures new.
Real Madrid have long been regarded as the favourites for the France international, who has scored 26 times and registered 17 assists in 37 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign.
However, according to L'Equipe, Barcelona have now approached the former Monaco youngster to discuss the possibility of a move to Camp Nou at the end of the season.
The report claims that Mbappe is yet to make a final decision on his future and is therefore open to holding discussions with Barcelona over a switch to Camp Nou.
The attacker has scored 15 goals and registered 10 assists in 26 Ligue 1 appearances this term, while he netted six times and registered six assists in eight Champions League outings before PSG lost to Real Madrid in the last-16 stage of the competition.
Barcelona remain under financial pressure, but they recently secured a lucrative sponsorship deal with Spotify and are believed to be in a position to improve their squad during this summer's transfer window.
