A report claims that Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has added an extra year to his contract to keep him at the Bernabeu until 2021.

Sergio Ramos has signed another contract extension at Real Madrid to keep him in place until 2021, according to a report.

The Spain international signed his most recent five-year deal at the Bernabeu in the summer of 2015 and has now apparently agreed to add an extra year to that.

Spanish outlet Marca suggests that the 31-year-old agreed the fresh terms in private towards the end of last season, with both the centre-back and president Florentino Perez not feeling the need to make a public presentation.

Ramos will mark 16 years in the Spanish capital should he see through his latest deal, having arrived from Sevilla as a teenager in 2005.

Real are said to be preparing a short statement to officially confirm the news, which will be made public early next week.
