Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez will spend another 12 months on loan at Bayern Munich, according to representatives Gestifute.

Gestifute has said that Real Madrid do not have the option to recall James Rodriguez from his loan spell at Bayern Munich.

Last summer, Real allowed Rodriguez to pen a two-year loan deal with Bayern but reports have suggested that the Colombia international is keen on an early return to the Bernabeu.

However, the player's representatives Gestifute have told ESPN that neither club are able to bring the agreement to an end before the end of this transfer window.

Rodriguez had been allowed to leave Real after only been used as a bit-part player by Zinedine Zidane, but the Frenchman has now left the club after winning the Champions League for a third successive year.

In his first year in Germany, Rodriguez contributed eight goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
