David Moyes bemoans "two poor mistakes"

David Moyes admits that his Real Sociedad side were punished for some poor defending away at Atletico Madrid

Real Sociedad head coach David Moyes has bemoaned the way that his side defended against Atletico Madrid last night.

An own goal from Sociedad defender Mikel Gonzalez and a strike from Antoine Griezmann within the opening 10 minutes at the Vicente Calderon secured a 2-0 victory for Diego Simeone's men.

Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, Moyes said: "We defended poorly in the first half and made two poor mistakes.

"I'm annoyed at the two goals. We didn't deal with Atleti's dead-ball situations very well."

The result has left Sociedad 10th in the La Liga table.
