David Moyes "very happy" with La Liga debut as Real Sociedad manager

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes says that he was "very happy" with his first game in charge of Real Sociedad, which ended in a 0-0 draw at Deportivo La Coruna.

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has said that he was "very happy" with his first game in charge of Real Sociedad.

The 51-year-old, who was appointed as Sociedad manager two weeks ago, led the Basque side to a 0-0 draw on his La Liga debut and was happy with the workrate of his players.

"I am very happy to have made my debut in La Liga," Moyes told BBC sport. "I wanted to win and I am not happy with the draw because we worked hard, but in the end it was a fair result.

"It is true that I don't know the players that much, but I am delighted to be here and little by little we will improve."

The draw means that Sociedad are in 14th place in the La Liga table.
