Sports Mole previews Thursday's La Liga clash between Real Sociedad and Sevilla.

Real Sociedad will attempt to continue their five-match unbeaten run in all competitions when they welcome a struggling Sevilla outfit to Estadio Municipal de Anoeta on Thursday.

Sociedad enter the match off the back of successive draws in the league, with their last three points coming away to Valencia in a 5-2 thumping at the Mestalla. Their early-season form has left them in ninth spot in the table, just six points outside of the top four.

Sevilla, meanwhile, are enduring one of their most difficult campaigns to date and they sit in 13th spot in the table with just 19 points from their 16 matches thus far. They were impressive in the first period of their clash with Malaga last weekend, but were beaten by two second-half goals at the Estadio Ramon.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-0 win for Sociedad, but Sevilla have won three of the last five meetings between the clubs in La Liga.

Sociedad are expected to name the same team that drew with Granada last weekend, but Sevilla will be without Federico Fazio through suspension. Meanwhile, Ivan Rakitic has recovered from the knock he picked up against Malaga and should start in midfield.
