Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has confirmed that the Spanish club want to sign Burnley forward Danny Ings.
It was reported on transfer deadline day that Ings had signed a pre-contract with Sociedad, which would see the 22-year-old move to the Basque outfit at the end of the season.
As it stands, that is not the case, but Aperribay has revealed that the England Under-21 international is a player on their wishlist.
"With respect to Danny Ings, that's something to talk about for next season and it's too early to talk about it now. There's a lot still to think about for the coming year, it's true that we're already working on a plan for next year but it's too early to talk about what we want for la Real next year," Aperribay told reporters.
"I'm not going to talk about any players. The winter transfer window is not just about looking at who to sign now, but also for the summer transfer window, for the future."
Ings has scored seven league goals for Burnley this season.
