The 23-year-old left-back moved to La Liga after struggling to secure first-team football in Italy.
Angel, who joined Roma from Sporting Gijon in 2011, made 11 appearances for Sociedad last season, helping the club to fourth place in the league.
He has earned caps for Spain at both Under-20 and Under-21 levels.
