Real Zaragoza boost their hopes of remaining in La Liga with a narrow victory over Champions League-chasing Levante.

Levante's push for the fourth Champions League spot in Spain has been stunted as Real Zaragoza kept their hopes of staying in La Liga alive.

The home side took the lead just after the 10-minute mark when Edu Oriol found the bottom corner.

Zaragoza almost doubled their lead soon after when Apono curled an effort just past the post.

Franco Zuculini came close to again scoring the host's second but his shot from outside the area skimmed wide.

Zaragoza held out for a narrow win and they are now just three points adrift of 17th-placed Rayo Vallecano.
