Republic of Ireland's John O'Shea quiet on international future after Euro exit

John O'Shea refuses to confirm if he is planning to retire from international duty following the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 elimination.

Republic of Ireland defender John O'Shea has refused to comment on speculation that he will quit international football following his nation's Euro 2016 exit.

The Irish outfit were eliminated from the tournament in France following a 2-1 defeat to the host nation in the last-16 stage on Sunday.

According to The Shields Gazette, when asked about his international future, O'Shea said: "I'm not going to get involved in that now.

"I'm going to enjoy tonight with a special group of players and a special backroom staff and coaching staff. We'll reflect on some positive things, and also things we know we can improve on going forward. Let's wait and see."

O'Shea has racked up more than 100 caps for his nation.
