Kevin Kuranyi: 'Schalke can defeat Borussia Dortmund'

Kevin Kuranyi believes that Schalke can defeat Borussia Dortmund in the Revierderby on Saturday.

Former Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi has backed the Royal Blues to defeat Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Huub Stevens's side will travel to the Signal Iduna Park to take on the German champions in the Revierderby.

"Every team will have to be at their best in order to get a good result away against Dortmund," he told Goal.com. "I think BVB have not spilled any points at home since March when they met Stuttgart.

"However, Schalke have a great team with a lot of potential, and they can do something against Dortmund.

"It's about time for them to win again after two years without a derby victory."

Kuranyi played for Schalke between 2005 and 2010 and joined Dynamo Moscow in 2010.
