Lee Wallace, Chris Martin, Alan Hutton withdraw from Scotland squad

Lee Wallace, Chris Martin and Alan Hutton become the latest players to withdraw from the Scotland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Italy and France.

Lee Wallace, Chris Martin and Alan Hutton have all withdrawn from the Scotland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Italy and France.

The Scottish Football Association have not disclosed the reasons behind the trio's exit from the squad ahead of the games this Sunday and on Saturday, June 4.

Rangers captain Wallace was one of the players to be attacked by fans during a pitch invasion following his side's defeat to Hibernian in the final of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Gordon Strachan has already lost goalkeepers Allan McGregor and Scott Bain due to injury, with Scott Fox and Jack Hamilton being drafted in to replace them last week.

Swansea City's Stephen Kingsley and Derby County midfielder Craig Bryson were also drafted in as Scotland provide the opposition for the two Euro 2016 participants.

Strachan will also be without Hull City trio Andy Robertson, Robert Snodgrass and Shaun Maloney as well as Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan for the Italy game due to their involvement in the Championship playoff final on Saturday.
