Brian Laws: 'Eddie Nolan injury not serious'

Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws says that Eddie Nolan should return in two weeks from a hamstring injury.

Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws has confirmed that the hamstring injury sustained by Eddie Nolan at the weekend is not as serious as first thought.

The defender suffered the strain in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Burton Albion, but Laws has claimed that the 25-year-old should return to action in two weeks.

Laws told the club's official website: "Eddie was getting scanned on Tuesday. His movement is excellent and since the weekend he is almost free of pain - which is a good sign.

"So I will keep my fingers crossed that we do not see anything too drastic. He could be out for a couple of weeks maximum and if that is the case then I would be more than happy with that."

Nolan has three Republic of Ireland caps to his name.
