Sevilla president Jose Castro has laughed off suggestions that head coach Unai Emery is under pressure at the club.
Emery was criticised following his side's 4-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the end of last month, but the Europa League holders are currently third in La Liga after seven matches.
"He's a coach who gets the blame for not beating the big teams and I ask myself why. Last year did we not score four against Porto? Did we not beat Benfica? And Real Madrid?" Castro told Tele Sevilla.
"It's one of the mad things about football. We have every confidence in him and we are 100% behind him."
Sevilla return to La Liga action against Elche this weekend.
