Unai Emery looking to bounce back against Real Madrid

Sevilla boss Unai Emery calls on his team to overcome their Champions League disappointment when they face Real Madrid in La Liga this weekend.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has said that Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Madrid is the perfect chance for his team to bounce back from their disappointment in the Champions League.

The Spanish outfit were beaten 3-1 at home by Manchester City on Tuesday evening, which has left them facing a return to the Europa League.

Emery has refused to dwell on the defeat, however, and is instead already focusing on the weekend match against Rafael Benitez's table-toppers.

"We have a really nice game on Sunday versus Real Madrid. It's one of those matches that always generates expectations," Emery told reporters.

"Real Madrid has lost here, and there've been matches where Sevilla have had the edge on Real Madrid. We have to look for points that will help us climb the league table.

"The team has to evolve the way we work and mentally we have to have the team able to avoid sinking in tough moments. We just took a hit against Manchester City when we thought we could win."

Sevilla currently sit 11th in the La Liga table on 12 points.
